ELP50-4

The ELP50-4 is a specialty underground specific jack with an extra-low profile jacking cylinder. This is a telescopic double acting (power up/power down) jack that features the most compact jacking cylinder available in the Scorpion Range. In its own class of 50 Metric Tonne jack, this air operated hydraulic jack is powered by the proven premium quality of an SC air/hydraulic pump features a closed height of 250mm, and a maximum extended height of 600mm (50T final stage capacity). This jack offers unrivalled usability for underground miners across the entire spectrum of underground ( and surface ) machines from small R1700 loaders or their equivalents, through to AD60 or MT65 articulated dumpers or similar. The jacks can even be used for supporting surface machines such as dozers up to D10 or even D11. The jack is designed to balance over the axle, and when coupled with large 13” pneumatic wheels, this jack offers market leading ease of movement for non-powered jacks in a similar class. Box section lifting points allow for easy and safe long- distance movement down to a shaft to a work site, and the large base plate offers superior stability on the loosest of soils, gravels or stones as can be found in underground mine environments. All scorpion telescopic jacking cylinders are double acting, meaning the must be powered up and powered down, and offer the safest telescopic jacking operation available on the global market still to this day. They have also been designed to meet a minimum 2:1 safety factor on SWL, affording compliance in any market worldwide. Fully welded 6 & 10mm steel chassis, with all critical components being fully enclosed, offers premium resistance to incidental damage. The large pneumatic wheels with sealed roller bearings, mean this jack is as easy if not easier to move than any non-powered jacks currently available on the market. The unique fold-up handle mechanism allows the overall length of the jack to be reduced, allowing it to be transported down a shaft without affecting oncoming traffic flow. Inside the jacking cylinder are fully bronzed piston and gland bearing surfaces, along with broad lip glide ring and energisers seals that provide optimal cylinder life even if a seal kit change is overdue, or minor rod damage has occurred. With a bolt on gland and base plate the ELP50-4 jack is convenient to work on, which is a crucial consideration for remotely located clients. With available accessories including a range of extension dollies from 100mm through to 450mm, along with self-levelling, and clevis load caps, the ELP50-4 will deliver market leading reliability and manoeuvrability for years to come. Lastly with the addition to the range now of optional remote control lift and lower functions, the lifting process has never been safer, or more reliable.
